Well, Ms Lerner, I sincerely pray that you get the opportunity to meet some conservatives up close and personal. They are fine, GOD fearing, Constitution loving citizens, and oh, by the way, strong supporters of The Second Amendment.
ABC news quoted more of the e-mail exchange that makes it clear who she was referring to as ***holes and teRrorists:
Lerner tells the person that she overheard some women say America was bankrupt and “going down the tubes.”
Well, you should hear the whacko wing of the GOP,” replied the person, whose name was blacked out by Camp’s office. “The US is through; too many foreigners sucking the teat; time to hunker down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end. The right wing radio shows are scary to listen to.”
Lerner replies: “Great. Maybe we are through if there are that many assholes.”
The other person replies: “And I’m talking about the hosts of the shows. The callers are rabid.”
Lerner: “So we don’t need to worry about alien teRrorists. It’s our own crazies that will take us down.”
So Lerner is saying that the ***holes and teRrorists are the “crazies” who believe that it’s all over for the USA, and that it’s time to grab food and ammo and prepare for the end.
I think this is typical liberal thinking—that people who are “hunkering down”, hoarding food and ammunition and waiting for tne end of American civilization are crazy. Well, I guess they are not the same as most conservatives, but they have a point, and so long as they don’t actually start firing that ammo at innocent people, they’ve got a right to their beliefs.
