Muslim pirates motivated the early formation of a marine force.
Muslims are responsible for some of the US Navy. Early on in our history, the US sent warships to Africa to fight the Barbary pirates, aka the Barbary corsairs or Ottoman corsairs.
Then as now, Muslims were treacherous, murderous, lying, deceitful kidnappers, slavers and pirates.

The bottom line, to Mr. Obama, is that the only “Muslim-Americans” who contributed “to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy” were kidnapped American slaves, forced to convert to Islam for fear of their lives.
And yes, though at the point of bayonets we forced them to agree to *officially* abolish slavery, they still practice it extensively, often with Islamic government sanction.

Weren't the Barbary pirates Muslim? And without them, would the U.S. Marines have become what they did?

1. Tested the Marines in the Halls of Tripoli.
2. Were the originators of the African slave trade
3. Caused the USA to build a professional Navy due to their piracy (see #1, related).
4. Have active prison “ministries” to run very effective criminal gangs that pull select blacks out of poverty, albeit generally to the detriment of their neighbors.
