Damning evidence has emerged of US President Barack Obama's dismissal of Israel's position in favor of supporting the position of Hamas and its allies during ceasefire talks.
A "senior US official" leaked an audio recording of a telephone conversation between Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to Channel One. In it the 35-minute conversation, which took place on Sunday, the US President appears downright hostile at points, and even cuts off Netanyahu in the middle of his protestations over a one-sided truce proposal which would have seen Hamas receive all its key demands, but that Israel ultimately rejected.
The following is an excerpt of the conversation, published in Hebrew by Channel One:
Obama: I demand that Israel agrees to an immediate, unilateral ceasefire and halt all offensive activities - particularly airstrikes.
Netanyahu: What will Israel receive in return for a ceasefire?
Obama: I believe that Hamas will stop firing rockets - silence will be met with silence.
Netanyahu: Hamas violated all five previous ceasefires, it is a terrorist organization which is dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
Obama: I repeat and expect Israel to unilaterally stop all its military activity. The pictures of destruction from Gaza distance the world from Israel's position.
Netanyahu: Kerry's proposal was completely unrealistic and gives Hamas the military and diplomatic advantage.

Let’s see ... given and denied by both sides and one has to determine the truth? Isn’t that always the case? There is the truth, half truths and then there is outright lies, as is always the case. In the reading though, I too want the tape. That way there is no question(s).
True, but it has been widely reported and confirmed by both governments that the main purpose of Obama's phone call was to seek a cease fire. So it's really a question of style over substance and just about everyone can imagine the prick-in-chief. acting like a "petulant child" as an earlier poster put it.

Are you positive, beyond all doubt this is the truth? I don’t know so I want the tape.
Review in your own mind the publicly reported comments from leaders in Isreal over the past 5 years regarding Nero. How many after being reported did they opologize or slowly back away from to avoid more bad press? Fake or not, according to the Press It's the allegation that counts.
It reads like a parody, or like what a leftist would think a stereotypical (not real) Obama-hating conservative could be duped with. Let's rise above that stereotype, yes?
Let’s have the tape. Aren’t people allowed to determine the truth when question(s) have been raised or are we to behave as mushrooms and wait on more BS?
That won't happen, as it would reveal which side leaked it, among, perhaps, other things dangerous to the leaker.
Calling for the tape to be released does not release the tape but it does leave in place the question of is the charge real or is the charge not real without the tape being released.

It is possible that the “leaked” tape is for public consumption (read Muslims) as it puts daylight between Obama and Israel, and that may be exactly what Obama wants.
I can't see the Republicans actually impeaching him, even with super majorities in both houses. We can hope they will threaten to do so unless Obama appoints real halfway decent figures to state and DOD with the understanding the he will no longer control the foreign policy of the US.
The other alternative is what usually happens in a republic when a wannabee dictator also manifests gross incompetence.
