Apparently this strain is more contagious, but less deadly. You have a 40% chance of survival if you catch it. Still not “great” odds, but 40% is way better than 10%.

Also what they are saying is that they have it down to 60% with early treatment but if that is true why has Kent Brantley gone from stable and up using his computer yesterday to critical today? In only a few days since testing positive. Nope. Don't believe it.

The reason this outbreak has been so deadly is because this strain is very very deadly. There is no better proof than what we are seeing and reading.

In Guinea, 415 cases, including 314 fatal cases

Do the math. Just under 80% and probably hit that or higher when the others died who were still struggling with it at the time they made the announcement.

I work in healthcare and let me tell you, anything that gets through the precautions they were using is far more deadly than I could have believed. We are in serious trouble if it got spread from that man on the plane. In fact, this is like a bad novel, almost perfect for a disaster.
