Kiev didn’t honor its own cease-fire. Again...
You will recall that on the ceasefire thread, I did ask if they would, and got called all kinds of names by the usual suspects for daring to do so.
Kiev declares a cease-fire within 40K of the crash site, and the rebels do as well.
As soon as it was reported that many of the large numbers of rebels securing the crash site had left to go to the fighting in Donetsk, Kiev launches a huge offensive right through the crash area.
Now it appears those UK elements are surrounded, and under heavy fire.
I did ask how much control does Poro actually have over his forces in the field. Either he lied again, or he doesn’t have any control.
Your comparison is irrational.
A 24 or 48 hr "truce" is totally inadequate to carry on a real investigation of an airline accident covering a few thousand square miles. Not in an area of an asymmetric "civil war" where each field "commander" is his own final authority.
In Gaza, at least in theory, the party responsible for maintaining a cease fire is identifiable, and able, in theory, to control the operators of offensive weapons.
