Project Vigil: D-Day 2014, The saluting boy on Omaha beach
My Uncle was there on D Day, He was a paratrooper. He was killed on July 4, He was buried there. My Mom, his sister was only 3 years old. He was 19. He was a hero.
This young man made me so happy. I wish more would treasure and respect our country and what it came from and stood for.
Good man.
Have you been to Normandy to visit your uncle’s grave?
Thank you so much, unfortunately the MSM never covered this. I’ll to try to get a copy and pass it along.
Wow! Kudos for this post.
The American cemetery at Collville-sur-Mer is the most moving and compelling place I have ever been. Even moreso than Arlington. Perched directly above Omaha Beach. One has to wonder how ANY soldier got off the beach that day. Only by the grace of God. This young boy and his act gave me a glimmer of hope in this generation. Paying such touching tribute to The Greatest Generation.
Outstanding!
I can’t help but wonder if that little boy was there in another lifetime?
