“Worst Pizza I ever ate was in Rome LOL”
I KNOW. LOL....I never ate any of that Rome pizza, but I saw the Rome restaurant menus and pictures.
That was what made this pizza stand out as all the more remarkable. This pizza, sold by the pound, had a buttery, crisp crust (almost like deep-fried) , plenty of sauce & cheese. I swear, IIRC, we ate it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 3 days.
It was THAT good. Never tasted anything like it before or since.
I was rather shocked that the pizza I had in Rome was so foreign from my idea of pizza.
I think it was called quattro stagioni.
The food in France was really really good, especially the street vendors.
Mmmmm Steak y frites
It is my understanding that the only place that makes a pizza that we would recognize in Italy is Naples
