In my youth, I rarely had the right tool for the job and just made do with what I had. And as I get older, politics and elections are more or less the same way, with similar or worse results.
I've come to realize that I can really screw things up making do using the wrong tool I have and the same is true in politics supporting someone who votes with you maybe half the time at best and against you the rest of the time.
I read on here somewhere not long ago that a traitor hurts you in ways that an enemy cannot and for some reason I can't get that thought out of my head in these days of our fundamental transformation.
I've used the butt end of a screwdriver as a hammer more than once, myself.
I'd rather do that, though, than be stuck with using a chainsaw as a hammer.
(now, there's a convoluted metaphor for ya...) :-)
Looks like we have a difference of opinion. 'Tis why I I love FR so much. Four posters can have seven different positions on a topic.
