I live in CR and work in IC, and only heard about it from a friend of the CC that I work with.
Iowa City Press Citizen said “With the help of some Solon residents, who alerted officers to the suspects’ location”.
If ‘I have them here, held at gunpoint’ means ‘alerting to location’, then that is what happened...
