I only had the polio shot starting at age 5 when I started school..

They would line us up and march us 3 blocks to the high school where every child got a shot...no parents were notified..

I had a shot every year for 3 years then we got the drinkable kind..

We didn’t even get those. And we grew up 30 miles from Chicago, in Hammond Ind.
