A federal injunction applied for by a border state governor ought to stop the invasion. It’s an unconstitutional attempt to legislate by executive order, and anything short of injunctive relief would allow the situation to continue to deteriorate.

The courts won't touch it. Congress can over turn an executive order simply by passing legislation - although they will need 60 votes in the Senate for the filibuster.
