To the untrained eye, he might have looked like a decorated war hero.
But it didn't take long for two Marines to decide there was something off about the uniformed man outside the military funeral, who wore medals as prestigious as the Silver Star. And when they started asking questions, they became even more convinced: The guy was a fraud a fake soldier.

"makes false claims about military service or honors illegal..." It should end there.
“A new version of the act, passed last year, makes false claims about military service or honors illegal if the goal is to get free goods or other benefits.”
Other benefits - does that include closing time on a Saturday night?
The courts overturned it earlier, hence the rewrite. How hard is it, really, to get the details of a uniform right? The insignia and placement rules & regulations are one or two clicks away for even a room temperature IQ idiot. This tells me he thought those at the funeral would be even dumber than he is.
Tells me that he's probably been getting away with it for a while, too.
Eh. He’s a fraud. Lots of them out there. Not the first, not the only, not the last.
I’ll save my outrage for more important issues.
According to this thread, they likely were dumber than he (that's </sarc>!!).
I watched about half of that video (couldn't watch any more). It was pathetic, but he's not much different than those that pose as fake cops. Except that, save for a handful of eager boys in past wars, you never see fake soldiers stowing away on a deployment flight to a combat theater...
Eh...no 'buts' about it; it was pathetic.
Sergent Major is a very high rank, I counted 5 service stripes, in the USMC that means 20-23 years of service. One would have to be really squared away to make a Sergent Major in 20 years. He did not looked “squared away” to me. And the Marine was correct a real Sergent Major would not have walked away. Guilty.
An army vet (yours truly) could spot instantly (because I did) numerous problems with his military appearance and bearing that no professional soldier would mistake.
He really overdid the medals.
But we have a fake president so why not fake sergeant majors?
I do have a question for you? If you are not active duty and not in the reserves (action or inactive). What are the regs on wearing the uniform? It is my understanding those honorably separated may only wear their old uniform on especial occasions like funerals and parades. It that true? TIA.
It might be because he can’t afford a corvette. And if you have a big dick you don’t need a corvette.
I remember the 80’s. Every bar had a few “Vietnam vets” in them scoring on gullible women. Hell, if it weren’t for lies of military service half these bar flies would never get laid.

Not really complaining, because others can see this when they might have missed it before.
Still, there are a lot of good replies on the previous thread (mine included!) so if any of you care to see more info, go to this link to the previous thread (80+ replies).
Maybe he bought all those fake medals to throw over the white house fence.
That is my understanding too. The exception being cammies which you can wear hunting. Or drinking. Or going to Wal Mart. Or sitting on the porch drinking a beer. Or driving in your truck. Cammies are good for about anything.
It should but it doesn't in order to protect lying politicians.
