Hot Foot.....Can’t type anymore...
Maybe you don’t know it, but you are talking to a old warrior. One who year after year has been getting more and more PO’d at the way these military actions are prosecuted and sold to the public.
It was a problem in it’s infancy when I was wearing the uniform and now it’s all verbal diarrhea. Means nothing to a civilian and they have to fund and provide their kids to go play Army and when you can’t trust the leadership and it’s double talk, You don’t want your kids participating.
Well that is where I am. It was bad in 1969 when I enlisted to go kill a few to pay them back for friends that did not come back. But now....there is no truth in government any more. No trust. No feeling of well being when the government decides it need to protect some sand dunes. Then they mislead, use double speak, allow politicians to once again tie their hands behind their backs to fight.
They are so afraid of losing public support, and I totally get that, it happened in Nam, but the loss of support is started by the bullshit ladled out by the Military for what ever reason, it does not matter.
If the cause remained just, they could say nothing and most would understand.
That does not mean you can label a operation “Just Cause” and people will buy it.
Anyway....stay sharp Kabar, and don’t let your knife fall in salt water. Ruined several of them that way.
