"In 2016, we need any GOP candidate to state that he will disarm all agencies that are not associated with law enforcement. In other words if the BLM, IRS, NEA, EPA etc. need enforcement they rely on the FBI or Secret Service. "

I agree... But I'd change that last sentence to:

...they rely on the FBI or Secret Service Local, County and /or State Law Enforcement.

Don’t worry Boehner and McCarthy will take care of it. :-)

I had the privilege of experiencing a Forest Service SWAT team back in 1988 over some mining claims. They could have resolved the problem with a letter or a visit by one Ranger with a clipboard, instead of 27 men with automatic weapons. But they chose to do it the other way, costing the Taxpayers millions, and me my respect for the Federal government.

Here's the sequence:

(1) Forest Service says "There are armed drug dealers in the forest growing pot. We need our own SWAT teams to go after them".

(2) Forest Service SWAT teams are formed, trained, and get premium pay.

(3) SWAT team members say "You know, if we actually go after drug gang members, they WILL find where we live and come kill us in the night".

(4) Management says "Hey, why are you guys just sitting around? This doesn't look productive!".

(5) SWAT team decides to raid you. YOU are SAFE to screw with.

Prior to 1934, the FBI wasn't authorized to carry guns and had to rely on local cops and sheriffs if they needed to arrest somebody dangerous.

It would be best if "federal law enforcement" were limited to .38 snubby revolvers, and required to get local sheriff's backup. With local sheriff having the option of saying "no".

Exactly what happened. They sent their elite Pot-SWAT team, including the head guy of their whole drug enforcement arm out of DC to go after us.

Maybe my military background had them worried, but really, if they had sent me a letter of concern, I'd have been glad to work at resolving the issue.

The funny part is, even with a platoon of SWAT, they never even contacted, much less confronted me directly. After they arrested one of my partners for 'trespassing on government lands' and raided a few of our customers (we were mining gemstones) and had big 'puff pieces' of their heroics in the local-national media about what desperadoes they had on the run, we let the lawyers work it out.

I agree although there are federal crimes which also need to be enforced. The one caveat I have to the local, county and state law enforcement is to get rid of the majority of the Swat teams. Maybe just have a state swat team that is heavily looked over by the courts. Hostage situations etc. are fine but serving a warrant or suspected whatever are troubling to me.

Yep...

Although I’d be more generous... I’ll let them carry a Glock or even a 1911, for their own protection.

The Bureau of Land Management is a ‘gestapo’ according to officials who testified at a House hearing yesterday.

I believe you are right. And more than half of Americans are clueless. And they will never understand that they have lost America.

By the way, miss Romney yet. Do most of you understand the difference between Romney and King Obama. That round was lost and look where America went.

Nothing to miss, he lost. Nothing to get over, he's toast.
Not even worth mentioning.

>>Remember, it was the FDR communists that referred to him as “Uncle Joe”.

And don’t forget that many of them were generally on the side of the Nazis until 1941 and the German invasion of the USSR. After all, the Nazis and the Soviets had been allies, and had split Poland between them, up until that time. So the friends of Uncle Joe were generally friends of Adolf until ‘41.
