Right before detonation the camera phased out and later after the dust cleared image became clearer.
You’ve got a point there. He couldn’t have been in a better place using better technique particularly the zoom. It seems beyond coincidence.
I don’t think it “phased out”.
I think the camera zoomed in, just prior to detonation.
Then unzoomed as the dust cleared.
I think the perspective would have been more clear had he not zoomed in at that moment.
