Just another brilliant tactical stage in their glorious fight, they’re going to overwhelm the Israelis with prisoners.
The Hamas prisoners know that they're just "temporary" prisoners, since, after a cease-fire agreement is reached, they'll be traded back to Hamas for one Israeli prisoner. It happens all the time, the those prisoners will be back in Gaza planning their next wave of attacks against Israel as soon as they're released.
