He was WRONG in wasting time trying to set up a democracy there. He should have rolled through Iran and Syria, removed the threats there and left them to their own devices.

But NOOOOOOOOO. He had to listen to the Brits and others who told him that by staying there and helping these poor benighted people stumble towards democracy - in effect compressing ALL the centuries that separated Anglo-Saxon Common Law from the Constitution into a few years, we would be able to achieve that objective. All it did was cost a LOT of money and a LOT of lives and showed THEM that they can do anything they want to us and get away with it if they tough it out long enough.
Regardless of when or who pulled us out of Iraq, it would have reverted to the perennial social savagery endemic to all Islamic societies.
What more do these people who want Israel to submit need to hear?????????
