Sen. Jeff Sessions says it would be “institutional surrender” for the House to advance an immigration spending bill without preventing President Barack Obama from expanding “administrative amnesty” for millions of additional unauthorized immigrants.
The Alabama Republican made that case in a lengthy statement circulated Wednesday afternoon, and he expanded on those views in a brief conversation with CQ Roll Call.
“I think it would be a colossal error to pass any kind of legislation that does not prohibit the president from granting legal status to five or six million people, as he’s indicated he intends to do,” Sessions said. “I’m baffled that the House talking points didn’t deal with that … The House principles didn’t address President Obama’s failure to execute the laws and expressed no concern about that danger.”
Sessions issued his statement in response to a report of recommendations to address the border crisis and the flood of unaccompanied migrant children from a House GOP “working group” led by Rep. Kay Granger of Texas. Appropriators on both sides of the Rotunda are working to put together supplemental legislation, but the two plans are vastly different.
Sessions’ written statement appears below:
“The border crisis is the direct and predictable result of the President’s sustained policies undermining America’s immigration laws. The President’s continued determination to carry out this nullification remains the singular obstacle in the way of restoring lawfulness. It is therefore odd that the House working group did not mention President Obama even once in their released findings. Indeed, they made no mention of the President’s threat of sweeping new executive actions. Multiple reports indicate that these imminent actions are likely to take the form of administrative amnesty and work permits for 5-6 million illegal immigrants.

Jeff Sessions is right, again!
I would have called it treason, but ‘colossal error’ is a start.
It’s clear Boehner still hasn’t figured out which team he’s supposed to be on.
I suppose he figures as long as he keeps the Chamber of Commerce and his other paymasters happy then that’s all that matters.
I’m glad Sessions and Steve King are willing to speak out on the Republican leadership perfidy on immigration.
Sessions seems to be the only one in Washington that has a clue.
Self-righteous Nancy Pelosi whines: “Every child, every person, has a spark of divinity in them and is therefore worthy of respect…[because] we are all God’s children.”
REPLY: Nancy conveniently excludes American children. Democrats think it's okay to steal from them, expose them to exotic deadly diseases, dismember them during birth, brainwash them into being willing sheep led to the slaughter, adopt them out to homosexual pedophiles, deny them medical care, or whatever abuses Democrats have yet to dream up.
Self-righteous Democrats label us "meanies" b/c we want to protect our children----we don't want to bankrupt our children's futures----we don't want to expend all of America's resources to the tenth generation to subsidize illegal "children".

Someone please notify your Congressmen that Obama is using OUR tax dollars to bus, fly, and then transport “the children” all over the U.S. to increase the brownskins population as a part of a Cloward - Piven strategy to overwhelm the system and destroy our nation. House Republicans have a $1.5 billion border bill that is offset by budget cuts elsewhere....and is less than half of the $3.7 billion Obama requested. OTOH, Senate Democrats are working on a rival bill that would provide $2.7 billion in emergency funding....a billion less than the ding-a ling requested.

BACKSTORY In the fall of 2009, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was trying to get the necessary 60 Dimocrat votes to pass the Affordable Care Act. He needed every Dim on board, which gave waffling senators a great deal of leverage. In Landrieu's case, she connivingly saw that selling her aye vote could get her maybe $200 million federal dollars. Obama complied. Reid chalked up another vote for Obamacare. But not the measly $200 million but $4.3 billon was attached to the Obamacare bill earmarked for Landrieu.

Jeff Sessions is totally right. But they should give no money except for additional border patrol agents and airplane fare to send everyone back. Forget the judges and the hearings. For $8 million they can all be flown back first class.
