hmmm... perhaps in comparison to some others, but it depends on which part of the country the person comes from. Also, I find Germans, Chinese, Gujaratis to be loud -- sometimes too loud.

But then in comparison to the Dutch or Finnish, yes, Americans are loud. however, I find the Irish to be cloud to decibel level, so I don't understand the fuss..

I heard Germans were pretty loud, and I can’t say I have much experience in that regard. I also don’t know much about the Chinese. However, Americans do seem to stand out in my travels. If I’m in a local community and I hear a loud and boisterous group, it tends to be Americans.
