Rep. Bentivolio Strikes Out (US Chamber Vanity)
US Chamber of Commerce ^ | Sean Hackbarth

Posted on 07/23/2014 10:55:57 PM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

Desperate candidates who are way behind in the polls take big swings hoping to hit political home runs.

Take Rep. Kerry Bentivolio, trying to hold onto his Congressional seat in Michigan’s 11th District. Being down 22 points against David Trott, he desperately needs to rally his troops by the August 5th primary. So his campaign e-mailed a fundraising pitch pushing the myth that the U.S. Chamber supports amnesty.

Rep. Bentivolio whiffed big time. The U.S. Chamber doesn’t support amnesty and never has.

Here is what the U.S. Chamber’ immigration reform priorities are:

Strengthening border security. Improving E-Verify system and employment verification. Ensuring the availability of workers of all skill levels—high-skilled, lesser-skilled, and agricultural workers--when employers experience labor shortages. Providing a means for undocumented workers to earn lawful status by getting a background check and paying any fines and back taxes owed.

Amnesty isn’t on this list.

Kerry Bentivolio was on Ingraham's radio show: "I am a veteran of 2 wars: Vietnam and Iraq. School teacher. Rated number 1 in transparency. Worked on IRS, Benghazi and EPA scandals."

On Trott:" My opponent made a career working for bailed out Wall Street Banks, foreclosing on families who fell on hard times. By his own admission he foreclosed on 80,000 families in 1 year. While I was protecting American homes, he was foreclosing on them."

What's this then?

The US Chamber of Commerce desperately needs a quick and final death. Member businesses need to be confronted until they drop out. The Chamber thinks it has some business in manipulating the GOP and the government for its purposes and the response is that conservatives resist the Chamber.

Sean Hackbarf’s press release from Planned Parenthood:

Our opponents are wrong when they call us babykillers or are pro-infanticide. What we support is the safe and legal dilation and extraction along with disposal of the unwanted fetal matter.

I don't get these guys. They say the immigration system is broken, what's wrong with it? We have laws enforce them. So if the republicans agree to “fix” the system is that going to stop the illegals from coming? NO, we will do this again in 25 yrs. the other thing they keep talking about is how this is going to boost our economy and these “immigrants” are our future. These illegals are poor and uneducated, the only future they have for us is to be on the permanent welfare roles....

Bentivolio is gonna get crushed, not because he’s a conservative but because he’s an unskilled politician who was elected in a fluke in the first place. I don’t think anything is wrong with Trott, I don’t care if the evilllllll chamber of commence supports him or not, I will not automatically oppose every candidate any group endorses unless that group is the DNC or Nambla.

You’ll note some of our MI FRiends are for both Bentivolio and Amash as a team. I abhor the latter and wish he was crushed, but I have endorsed Bentivolio. I don’t think he’s a bad sort. This shameful press release, however, has proven Bentivolio’s point. They do support amnesty.

Ditto. They are lying through their teeth. I would like to see some the high profile members to take a hit for this.

Coca-Cola,among others, was front and center on this(the letter to the Republican leadership).

Neither should one oppose Bentivolio simply because he isn't a skilled politician. I'm not thrilled that he doesn't have a high profile, but he has been on the right side of many important issues, including removing Eric Holder, criticizing NSA excesses, reducing funding to government agencies, opposing amnesty, supporting small businesses, and even wishing to impeach el presidente. On the other hand, Trott is remarkably well-funded but his campaign appears to be based essentially on "making Washington work." At this point, that sounds dangerous to me!

He doesn’t know how to raise money, in his competitive district that means he’ll lose sooner or later, if not in the primary then to a democrat, not this year probably but, in 2016? Bad politicians tend not to last, look at Jean Schmitt in Ohio, she had much closer races with democrats than she should have and finally lost the primary in 2012.

He lost the special election for the last 2 months of McCotter’s term to a nobody rat, after having won the GOP primary only because no one else was on the ballot. He only won the general election for the full term because the newly redrawn seat was slightly more Republican and the democrat (a different one than in the special) was a Pakistani.

He’s no Amash, I’ll give you that, his record is fine, he doesn’t appear to be the giant Paultard Amash clone I feared he’d be.

But I don’t want to give a seat away to democrats out of some need to defend a fluke winner because he’s a good guy. We need good guys who know what they’re doing, especially in non safe seats.

I respectfully agree to disagree with you guys on this. I prioritize crushing the marxist swine, too much you may think.

It looks like the Democrat bigots voted for the Libertarian instead of the Pakistani.

That Libertarian vote will be bigger again if establishment hack Trott wins.

If Kerry is such a weak candidate find someone other than a foreclosure king to primary him in 2016.

Isn’t the Democrat this time called Anil Kumar? Will the low info voters suddenly switch because he not as exotic as a muslim?

Kerry got 30,000 more votes in the general where it mattered. Pretty much all the extra turnout in the general.

Kerry went from 150,000 to 180,000.
The Special Election had 330,000 voters and general had 360,000 voters. All of it went to Kerry. The Pakistani only got 500 less than the white Democrat.

Low info voters or voters who didn’t care about a month of a Rat.

They support amnesty and cheap immigrant labor be it legal or illegal. The Chamber of Commerce knows the word Amnesty is political poison so they will deny that what they want is an amnesty

But making 12-30 million illegal aliens into legal residents is an Amnesty and is in the Chamber of Commerce’s immigration programs/solutions to a “broken immigration system” which is pure buzzword same as “path to citizenship”.

REPUBLICANS want cheap imported labor
Democrats want to import a permanent Democrat majority

“I don’t get these guys. They say the immigration system is broken, what’s wrong with it? “

What’s wrong with it is that if its current laws were actually enforced, the Chamber of Communists ( and their RINO supporters) and the Government would not get enough slave labor and RAT votes to suit them. There isn’t anything wrong with our immigration laws except that the Beaners wouldn’t get their worthless families into our country and get them “established” on our welfare system w/o every paying anything into it. That’s all!

The immigration problem really boils down to this, said Bentivolio: “Democrats want the votes, and the Republicans want the cheap labor.”

http://www.wnd.com/2014/07/congressman-exposes-truth-behind-illegal-kids/#szxdi4oihRO5o8B3.99

The congressman laments, “Democrats today no longer, ‘ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.’ Democrats today are all ‘me, me, me, and gimmee, gimmee, gimmee.’”

Kerry to a dreamer (25 years old):
“So you’re an illegal! Your parents broke the law!” Our attempt at dialogue went downhill from there.”
