This should have been proposed by the U.S., U.K., and France (western permanent members of the U.N. Security Council), Ukraine, Netherlands (origin of the flight, and greatest number of victims), and Malaysia (airline and second greatest number of victims). If possible, China and the non-permanent members of the UNSC should have been brought on-board, along with all of the EU and NATO nations.

If NATO and U.S. C-17s started landing with NATO security forces, humanitarian organization members, and FAA inspectors, there is no way Putin and his thugs would risk WWIII over a third-world airline crash.
