MANVEL, Texas -- It's a small rural town stuck in a county that just made it clear undocumented children aren't welcome here, but the possibility they could be moving in to the Shiloh Treatment Center, an older facility along Bahler Avenue in Manvel is very real.
"They're trying to squeeze them in anywhere they can," said Manvel resident Brian Priest.
We searched federal records and found Shilohs received a little over $5 million in grant money. That money is coming from the US Office of Refugee Resettlement. That's the same group in charge of placing thousands of undocumented children crossing into the U.S.
We tried getting answers from workers inside the facility, but they're not talking on camera. They provided a government number to call. We did, several times, but got nowhere. The lack of answers from the federal government is what frustrates residents in Brazoria County the most.
"Itd be nice to know they were here before I read it in paper," said Brazoria County Judge Joe King. "People in Washington don't care what I think."
The folks we talked to in Manvel are surprised by the possibility, even more surprised by the location.

Teachers will be dropping like flies also. Epidemic is coming.
“American children will be going to class where infected illegal children
have sat. And without proper cleansing disease and illness will spread.
It’s a guaranteed spreading of illness like TB, Whooping, and others.
Teachers will be dropping like flies also. Epidemic is coming.”
I have been trying to tell people this very thing. Most are oblivious to the threat to their children, grandchildren, and future offspring. This is by design intended to thin out existing Americans.
No one is noticing. Too much gay, talent, holly weird, and other deviant crap drawing the attention.
Are we lost at this point?
If a parent finds out that these illegal alien children are being foisted on their school district, they should keep their children out of school. Better to find a private school or home school with other families than to have your child subjected to TB.
Cleanse by fire. Burn down as many of these child prisons, block threesomes busses, strip the electrical mains, dig up the sewers. This is war.
Think about it. If you were dirt poor, no hope...wouldn't you attempt to make a better life for yourself?
It is Obozo, his ilk, congress on both sides of the aisle that are allowing this to happen.
Don't blame the illegals...blame your AMERICAN leaders.
Open borders, higher taxes, energy prices higher, food inflation up, stagnant wages, millions out of work or under employed, monumental fiscal mismanagement, gubbamint takeover of private sector, exploding entitlement population...must I die?
Seriously, it is our leaders that are making every bad damn decision imaginable. It ought to be congress and that dumb @$$ occupying the white house that ought to be kicked out of the country. At least the illegals hold a damn job.
By the way...I'm not pro-amnesty. If I could wave my magic wand, they'd all just evaporate...but ain't gonna happen. I'm pretty cynical these day's and I don't see much hope for the survival of this nation. We just have too many enemies...even within our gates.
No, they don't.
My wife worked at a Houston middle school where she had an autistic and retarded kid as a student.
The "mother", who was illegal, lived by herself on welfare. She brought the child to school with a soiled diaper in her hand (NOT just wet) and said she couldn't take it away because it upset the student. She had NINE bastards, half of whom were significantly retarded, and the others none too successful. She was pregnant with a tenth "anchor baby", which of course was on OUR nickel.
The "mother" didn't work at all, except for the one activity she indulged in way too much.
