Regarding your point, I agree. I wasn’t referring to the NAsA stuff. You are correct - Mediaite and others were dihonest about what Ham said.

Which means some other intelligent life is way ahead of us. They would have discovered us by now. And, if they are way ahead of us, and discovered us, they would have communicated to us, just as we would have to them. But we’ve heard nothing.

Maybe they have discovered us and just aren’t interested. Do you try to communicate with ants? Or a bacterium? That may be how they perceive us. In 1977 the “Wow! Signal” was detected, and there is still no adequate non-ET explanation for it, despite 37 years of advances in science and technology since then.

Reagan to the UN in 1987 - “In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world”

Libs laughed at that and said it was the meanderings of a senile, old man. Then again, maybe he was hinting at something the govt knows without coming straight out and saying it.

“To your mind, what was it about Christ’s human ancestry that qualified him in this way?”

Well, he needed to be a close descendant of Adam, in the male line, in order to qualify to be a kinsman redeemer and repurchase the debt that Adam incurred:

“47 If a stranger or sojourner with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him becomes poor and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner with you or to a member of the stranger’s clan, 48 then after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him, 49 or his uncle or his cousin may redeem him, or a close relative from his clan may redeem him. Or if he grows rich he may redeem himself.” Lev. 25:47-49

Of course, we could never “grow rich” and redeem ourselves from the bondage we were under, so we could only be freed by a redeemer.

I had the privilege to see him perform when I was at college, and again much later in his life after his medical issues in a benefit concert in my home town.

I was a big fan back in college, and own several of his early albums. Of course, now I have just about 90% of his stuff on CD; I also cut all the albums over to MP3 just to have versions with the popping and “liveness”.

I’ve even got the single he did (”I love you”) with People. Not the “I love you” from In Another Land.
