DONETSK, Ukraine Two Ukrainian military fighter jets were reportedly shot down over the nations contested eastern region on Wednesday, even as U.S. and Ukrainian sources said Russian weaponry has been pouring in to separatists following the downing of a Malaysian passenger plane last week.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said two Sukhoi-25 fighters were shot down Wednesday afternoon over an area called Savur Mogila. The planes may have been carrying up to two crew members each, according to Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky.

SU-25s are attack aircraft, not fighters. Fox is getting just as lazy as the long-standing networks.
“over an area called Savur Mogila.”
Saur Mogila is a heights area in the far Southeast that has a HUGE Soviet War Memorial to the 23,000 Soldiers that died trying to take them from the Germans in WW2.
There are rumors that a huge Soviet-Era nuclear war bunker system is underneath the memorial.
The rebels hold these heights, and they are decimating the trapped Kiev units from them.

Rough equivalent (very rough) of the A-10 Warthog.
Lets face the truth, Russia declared war on Ukraine. And the America is responsible. Our communists King Obama will not honor the treaty we made with Ukraine to disarm nukes and we will protect them. That made this under equipped Country to be easy prey for Russia.
At this rate Ukraine will be out of planes by the end of the month. So are we sending Pentagon advisers now who will be setting up infrastructure for NATO planes or US planes ?
Perhaps just better counter measures for the ones they have.
That's what I've been thinking. Outside of the U.S and maybe Israel, not many nations even practice going up against air defenses. Time to go back to the basics, load up the chaff and flare dispensers, preprogram the DDS dispensers, and on top of that run a few Iron Hand or SEAD missions on their side of the border. You need to keep the air defenses guessing as well.
