Melissa Bowerman, the daughter-in-law of Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman and head track and field coach at Madras High School, was arrested Monday on sex abuse allegations involving a 17-year-old boy on the team.
She was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Madras on suspicion of second-degree sexual abuse, luring a minor, second-degree online sexual corruption of a child and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor. The first three accusations are felonies and the fourth is a misdemeanor.

I think we're going to be seeing a very rich 17 year old very soon once he sues her. I have no sympathy for these older women who go after under age boys. I don't care if he's 17 or wanted to do it. If you are a 43 year old woman, you don't go after a teenage boy, period.
Then, of course, you have the stupid sap of a husband saying:
"She's still my wife, I still love her and still will no matter how this thing turns out," said [Jon] Bowerman

There may be allegations of other instances...and Because she was coach, then she has a problem...but I would like to hear what the 17 year old young MAN has to say. If I were on the jury, I would not think much of this one individual case....if there is more to the story, then I would adjust.
Yes...I probably would think different if the Coach was a man and the 17 year old was a young lady.....

Her husband is 33 years older, and he still loves her? He is as creepy as Melissa.

Seems to me that Rory Oster (former Madras AD) used poor judgment. He is now the AD at Camas H.S. in SW Washington and is one of the very best public high schools for both academics and athletics in the entire state.
Will be interested to see if there is any fallout.
