IMO, ISIS is only waging a war on Syrian Christians, who they'll soon eliminate after a couple millennia. First the Jews, then the Sunday people. The worldwide war on Christians is being waged by, to be politically correct, radical Islam. There being a passive form I suppose, out there saving Christians. Just like they saved their Jewish neighbors in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Who'd been in most of these places longer than Christians.
Don't tell anyone in the administration or Congress, Christians in these places are doing fine. Honest.
