It's fine to vet, what you appear to be doing is criticizing another candidate for doing something good.

That's circular firing squad stuff, and one of the many reasons we are perpetual losers.

Cruz is my first choice, we need to do better in the way we further good candidates.

Nope.

I'm simply trying to counter the spin and provide some objectivity here. He went half of the way when he could have done everything that was legal and that he was authorized to do, up to and including Apprehending ALL of them.

Even his staff admitted as much:

Perry’s office has said the Guard will largely play a role of “deter and refer” – deter border crime by their visible presence along the border and refer illegal acts, including border crossings, to law enforcement. They don’t plan to apprehend illegal immigrants, though, technically, they could, said Texas Adjutant General John Nichols.

When you KNOW to do something right, and choose not to do it, that is the same as choosing to do something wrong.

This is not leadership, this is grandstanding.

Fool me once, shame on you (GWB), fool me twice, shame on me!

John 10:1
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
