For a starter you may want to read some of the books written by Zecharia Sitchen titled the Earth Chronicles, such as Genesis Revisited and the 12th Planet. Either one is close on target, perhaps not perfect but very close. As far as religions in general are concerned we have come a long, long way from the dark ages, but have much further to go. Judaism is or was how and where it all started.

Then one day Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall and broke in to many pieces and mankind been struggling ever since to put him back together and so far have not succeeded and probably never will at least not until mankind will recognize the real truth about our origin. Until then, strife and never ending wars will be with us, you can bank on this one.

I like Star Wars, Star Trek, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Battlestar Galactica and all those other fanciful and imaginative stories and movies just like many others do, but I don’t confuse them with the Word of God, the inerrant and infallible 66 books, written over hundreds of years, by 40 writers that God chose to pen what he has to say to mankind.

Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy

The records for this major church statement on Biblical Inerrancy are housed in the Dallas Theological Seminary archives for safe keeping, but most of the basic statement for the church is available online, such as this section.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17
