Yes, agreed. And they are the prefect example. They are not a western culture (like the Germans are), they thought their Emperor was GOD, and we told him, hey: tell your people you’re not God anymore and well, he probably didn’t like it, but he lumped it.
You are so right. The Japanese were vicious, they’d terrorized all of Asia, I still remember the story about some Korean guy (this was maybe in the 80s or something) who had the job of running up the Japanese flag for some diplomatic get together. Whether he ran up all the flags or not I don’t recall. But he was so ashamed of raising the Japanese flag, because of all the horrible things they’d done years before, he killed himself!
Yes, that’s what we should have done with the Muslims. And I suppose that eventually it WILL be what we do with the Muslims, because it may come down to changing them, killing them, or submitting to them.
