Ok, these people seriously need to STFU.
I frankly do not care how this happened. But as it has happened in the past, and been done by several nations, including our own, THIS is not a pretext for any talk of “war”.
These blow-dried twits in bureaucratic positions are not going to be on any front line, and sure as hell wont be near anyplace that might get nuked.
The lives of potential millions, and the disruption of billions, are not worth this plane.
Next time, you morons will make sure commercial airlines dont get routed over war zones.
If we don't at least let aggressors know that we saw what they did, and don't approve -- then there's every reason to expect more of the same bad behaviour. I thought that was self-evident, amongst FReepers.
Furthermore, there's a big difference between pointing out an obvious act of war, and actually declaring war. Baird did the former -- he did not do the latter. According to the article: "Baird says that the Canadian government will soon announce new sanctions "against a broad range of Russian people and entities."
Those sanctions will likely be in-line with the United States and the European Union."
They wouldn’t mind a war as long as it is US troops doin’ all the dying.
