Most of the people alive today have known someone personally who fought the Germans or were around when Hitler was considered the biggest villain ever. The lack of historical perspective in media and education + the death of people who lived during Hitler’s reign of terror could changed all of that. What I’m saying is we’re a generation away from Hitler being revered by the left like Mao, Che, Gorbachev, and so on. It’s not quite the dichotomy that writer seems to think it is. If you go down the line of Hitler’s policies, the Democrats would (admittedly) agree more times than not. They would secretly agree 100%.
I think the Left is already revering Hitler. We have a fascist government today that intrudes in all aspects of our life, and can and will arrest us for no just cause because they can do it without fear of retribution from the people. We have leaders who call out the opposition and condemn them and call for their deaths and the Left Wing followers just mimic them. Yes, Hitler or Hitleristicness is revered by the Left now
