Well, the new HUD Secretary, Julian Castro will be more than happy to implement this. In San Antonio, they go into nice neighborhoods (with conservative voters), and put up low income apartments.

Voila, crime rates rise, and voting patterns change. This has been going on for years in San Antonio.

I dunno. I heard Rush talk about this. The problem with certain NYC neighborhoods isn't race or income. The problem with certain NYC neighborhoods is culture.

Westchester Co. NY might end up with a mildly different racial or income makeup, but a massive cultural shift is less certain. (One effect is that the price of lawn services and maid services should come down in Westchester Co.)

Interestingly, the dark blue Northeastern states seem to have less neighborhood diversity than red states to begin with.

That's not to say that Obama doesn't hate the suburbs, and isn't waging a war on them, but like about 90% of what he's tried to do, this may well boomerang.

Done with the collaboration of church charities who are taking Caesar's coin to betray their nation.

They’ve been doing the same thing with Section 8 housing for years. If a township is to Republican, just start importing Section 8 termites and before you know it! A Democrat district!

Global warming will also be invoked as a rationale for “modifying” (i.e., destroying) the suburbs for purposes of social engineering.

That’s a very interesting map - thanks for posting that. Your observation about blue states is right on the mark.

Is there a way of finding out where in our local community HUD is planning to erect these monstrosity projects?? After reading this article I'm worried HUD will force this monstrosity in our very nice neighborhood which has a huge empty lot that has been sitting there for many years. I heard from a neighbor of mine that HUD had considered that patch of land years ago but the community fought it and won. But situations have changed so much since then ...the govt will force the projects down our throat s whether we like it or not and there's nothing we can do. I need to know fast so that I can put my house on the market!

Yes. The liberals in the most liberal states cocoon themselves away from people different from themselves, all the while crowing about “diversity.”

Many of the suburbs have been liberal for many years now: soccer moms, etc.

The feds are forcing the suburb of Dayton OH (Beavercreek) where I live to accept Dayton RTA busses (and pay for the infrastructure to support them to boot).

City council finally approved the bus stops so as not to lose Federal Highway funds.

Where I live, money to house Section 8’s in wealthy neighborhoods were given to poor neighborhoods with very old housing stock. It’s another reason Asbury Park, NJ is still a mess despite gentrification.

Thanks for posting this article - I had only heard minimal info about it.

As a side note, Ron Sims is a former King County (Seattle and surrounding areas) Executive and was terrible (typical lib) - no wonder Obama appointed him.

According to Wikipedia, he resigned as Deputy Sec of HUD in 2011 due to wanting to “spend more time with his family”.

“Sims’ announcement followed the release of official travel records to Americans for Limited Government that showed Sims had spent 45 of 128 travel days during his tenure on trips to Seattle,[7] a statistic that the group said raised “questions about the legitimacy of these trips.” A HUD spokesperson denied the travel records indicated malfeasance on Sims’ part, noting that “every trip taken by Deputy Secretary Ron Sims was in response to a formal speech or forum participation request.”
