Ukraine is currently going through a crucial time for its independence.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, during the all-Ukrainian pilgrimage in Zarvanytsia in Ternopil region, to which he joined with his wife, Theresa, with Censor reference to the Government Portal.
Along with tens of thousands of faithful, the head of the Government attended the liturgy in the Mari spiritual Center Zarvanicy. Upon completion of the liturgy, He appealed to Ukrainians from all corners of the country and from abroad who have gathered in Zarvanytsia village.
"At the moment Ukraine is going through a critical period. So the Lord God has ordered, so has the story-that we once again have to struggle for their freedom, for their independence, their families, the European future of our country ... Our country has resisted the Bolsheviks, the Church survived "advice", and I can assure you-we stand and we will win. God is with us and with us is the truth,"said the Prime Minister.
The pilgrimage in Zarvanytsia is also sponsored by the Minister of culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nishchuk, an adviser to Prime Minister Victor Elensky. Source: http://censor.net.ua/n294670 source: http://censor.net.ua/n294670
How about the Ukraine lets the people in the eastern part of the country have their independence? They voted for it.
I don’t know why anyone believe anything a government spokesmen says. Ukraine is not our problem. Europe is not our problem. The liberal takeover and invasion of the hordes from the south - those are our problems.
Referendums at the barrel of a gun, ones yielding 90% approval, generally speaking, are considered invalid
Yes you are correct: read FR post http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3182801/posts
So what would you say about mobs of protesters who force an elected government out and replace it with one of their own? That is how the current leadership in Ukraine was put in power.
The only people saying the election in the eastern part of the Ukraine was not legit are the Ukrainain government and those in the US who want to believe them.
Protesters can force any elected government out if that government starts to kidnap, torture and kill its opponents.
I have yet to see a country which had recognized the Donbas referendum as legit (and no, personal fiefdoms-dictatorships like Syria, North Korea or Ossetia, or any other whackjobs, don’t count)
