One of my favorite actors. I read that he was also a big lib, but he kept his beliefs fairly low-key, unlike today’s Hollywood libtards.

So sad the time we have come to, as we lose more of the real stars and gentlemen and women of the acting trade to be left with the modern technicians of the trade. Rest in piece Mr. Garner, you will be missed!

He brought much entertainment and enjoyment to many folks. One of the more respectable Hollywood’ers.

Never missed Maverick when I was a youngster and just watched Space Cowboys (again) a few nights ago. RIP Mr. Garner — Thank You

The Rockford Files was one of the best shows ever. I can’t remember all the times, two men dressed in suits showed up at his trailer, usually to beat him up. sometimes just to take him to some big shot.

That trailer sure was large on the inside, nice too considering how small it was on the outside.

I still watch Rockford Files on ME TV Network. I will miss you Jim-bo... You were one of the motivating factors in my move to sunny California...

Loved his work in Murphy’s Romance... Loved everything that man did...

James Woods is a real wealth of knowledge about the old timers like Garner. He's apparently been speaking to Lois Garner this morning.

Lois Garner just told me, "I'll never be the same. My Jim is gone." Her tears speak for all of us.

James Garner was good in everything he did in my view, may he RIP.

He was awarded two Purple Hearts for wounds in the Korean war.

Who can forget that gold Firebird, his weasel of a friend, Angel Martin, or his keeping his revolver in the cookie jar.
