Kerry caught on open mic (Gaza)

Secretary of State John Kerry was caught on an open mic just before his interview with “Fox News Sunday” candidly speaking about the conflict in Gaza.

“It’s a hell of a pinpoint operation, it’s a hell of a pinpoint operation,” Kerry said to an aide on the phone, with some measure of frustration.

His comments seemed to be criticizing the Israeli government’s assurances about the limited scope of its attack and ground invasion of Gaza.

Kerry, speaking by phone to one of his top aides, then added: “We’ve got to get over there. Thank you John. I think John, we ought to go tonight. I think it’s crazy to be sitting around.”

Kerry was confronted on air by host Chris Wallace, who asked if Kerry was implying that the Israeli government had gone too far in its Gaza operations.

“While you were on camera and while you were on microphone, you just talked to one of your top aides about the situation in Israel and the fact that 14 Israelis have apparently been shot and killed in an operation,” Wallace said.

Kerry stood by his comments, while defending Israel’s right to defend itself.

“It’s tough to have these kind of operations. I reacted, obviously, in a way that anybody does with respect to young children and civilians,” Kerry said,

“War is tough. I’ve said that publicly and I've said it again. We defend Israeli’s right to do what it is doing,” Kerry said.

“We support Israel’s right to defend itself against rockets that are continuing to come in. Hamas has started its process of rocketing after Israel was trying to find the people who killed three young [people] — one American kid, three young Israelis,” Kerry said.

For the last six years it’s been easy to “pinpont” the monumental ignorance of what now passes as “leadership”; Kerry is but one such source. What a friggin’ embarassment...

"The conversation continues, and Kerry then says, “We’ve got to get over there. I think we ought to go tonight.” He then calls it “crazy” to be “sitting around.”"

I think you missed the context. They were discussing the anchovy, focaccia, and parmigiano reggiano at the Jared Coffin House on Nantucket.

The complaint is, Kerry's buddies in Hamas are getting their butts kicked, and the Israelis are keeping collateral damage to a minimum preventing the administration from stoking public opinion again them. If they don't get over there and do something quick, there isn't going to be much left of Hamas, and the Obama administration won't have an ally in the region.

I guess you can't expect much from a traitor.

American Patriots Against John Kerry

The 1970 meeting that John Kerry conducted with North Vietnamese communists violated U.S. law, according to an author and researcher who has studied the issue.

Kerry met with representatives from “both delegations” of the Vietnamese in Paris in 1970, according to Kerry’s own testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971. But Kerry’s meetings with the Vietnamese delegations were in direct violation of laws forbidding private citizens from negotiating with foreign powers, according to researcher and author Jerry Corsi, who began studying the anti-war movement in the early 1970s.

According to Corsi, Kerry violated U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953. “A U.S. citizen cannot go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power,” Corsi told CNSNews.com.

By Kerry’s own admission, he met in 1970 with delegations from the North Vietnamese communist government and discussed how the Vietnam Warshould be stopped.

Excellent and accurate summation of the administration’s view. The desired outcome (i.e., a propaganda victory for Hamas) is being jeopardized by the success of the pinpoint attacks.

Good post. Nicely done.

Kerry was confronted on air by host Chris Wallace, who asked if Kerry was implying that the Israeli government had gone too far in its Gaza operations . . . Kerry stood by his comments . . . .

Not this again!

The IDF have "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped lithium-battery notebooks to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of Gaza, in addition to the normal ravage of war and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of Israel."

War is tough, that's why "did you know I fought in Vietnam" phonied up enough Purple Hearts to get his traitorous butt out of harms way as soon as possible so he could slander Real Soldiers when he got back to America.

If John Kerry needs to go somewhere, it should be to Ukraine to show solidarity with Britain, Germany, and France in their efforts to gain access to the Malaysian airliner’s crash site.

Let him stand in front of a damaged fuselage in the midst of the field of horrors near Donetsk and declare, a la Ronald Reagan, ‘’Mr. Putin, tear down the barriers to this crash site!’’

But, instead, John Kerry wants to rush off to Israel so he can try to force Benjamin Netanyahu to declare a cease-fire before his friends in Hamas are destroyed, which Israel must do in order to survive.
