I do think you can be a deep conservative filled with love and reverence and still hate what Monsanto is doing, trying to “own” (patent) “plants and seeds” — and mess with our food.

That brings to mind two questions:

About when did farmers stop using their own corn as seed for the next crop?

and second question; if private corporations shouldn't be allowed to patent their seed, as it means they control a portion of or food production, explain to me why you aren't objecting to private corporations patenting life saving drugs, and thus controlling our opportunity to continue to stay alive?

I agree with patenting of drugs and intellectual property and art etc. Not animals or plants or other life forms.
