Egypt said that they want Abbas and the PA on the Egypt-Gaza border, instead of Hamas. Israel agreed to this. The USA agreed to it. Hamas rejected it, at the orders of Turkey and Qatar.
It looks like some "realignment" among the Arab/Muslim block with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Israel and the USA on one side and Turkey, Qatar, Iran and Hamas on the other side.

My advice to the US is stay the hell out of it. Let Israel handle it. Hopefully they will occupy the Gaza permanently so as to eliminate ever happening again.
