Why does anybody care about anything he has to say, especially enough to be offended by it?
He is of no consequence. Being offended by him just makes him consequential.

Wasn't he one of those 25-year old teenagers in some movie about high school about twenty years ago? It was 15 years ago, and not a particularly egregious example of the "Dawson Creek meme". Most of the cast was 20, only 2 years older than the characters they playing. (Tara Reid was 23, Alyson Hanigan was 25, John Cho was 27 - but both Hannigan and Cho are suspected of having portraits in the attic that are aging instead of them)
