Why not? What is anyone going to do about it?

This story will have a shelf-life of about 5 days, and we are on day 2.
Obama is clearly not interested already.

Is anyone asking if the Malaysian Airlines 777 that disappeared a few months ago was also flying in questionable areas in order to save fuel?

Putin's real problem is in Russia. The young folks there are sick of being governed by all the crooked, half-witted thugs that kill each other for power in Russia. And, at the top of rubble is Putin the Incompetent.
Just visit Russia and see for yourself. Talk to some of the younger Russians who would like to see their country grow and prosper. They know and will tell you that Putin is a thug and an idiot. Putin is responsible for one disastrous mistake after another.
Take the time to notice how poorly the Russian economy functions.

According to Gallup, Putin is much more popular (in Russia) than Obama was in the US when people still believed he could heal the sick, raise the dead and walk on water.

“Why did Ukrainian air traffic controllers send a passenger aircraft into a zone where aviation has been consistently used for airstrikes, including on civilian targets, and where for that reason anti-aircraft defence batteries were in use? he asked.”
That right there tells you that Russia did shoot down the airliner.
That they move to assigning blame on air traffic controls and not whoever pulled the trigger is a clea demonstration of their complicity.
Admit it Vladimir, your guys screwed up.
