Here is the thing that really bothers me now. Go ahead and smoke all the dope you want to. But why is it that I have to now pay these people’s health care bills, which are going to be much higher now that it is legal for them and their children to suck dangerous carcinogens down their windpipes?

With all the caterwauling we have heard for years from the nanny state do-gooders over the dangers of smoking tobacco and eating crappy food, where is the outrage now?

Where, Mr. Hurt, is your outrage over having to now pay the health care bills for people who smoke tobacco and eat crappy food?

Hear, hear! The societal costs of tobacco and alcohol consumption will continue to far outweigh the cost of marijuana consumption. It is improper to frame this as an issue concerning the free enjoyment of (relatively) harmless plants.

In other words: The abomination known as ObamaCare should not be cited as a further argument to throw people in prison for exercising their God-given rights to "enjoy ever herb that groweth..."

Regards,

If I am forced to pay the healthcare bills for anyone other than myself and my family then I am a slave. I don’t care if they are pot heads or health nuts.

Good question. Once the "it takes a village" notion gets a foothold, it spreads like a fungus.
