Federal Express was indicted Thursday on federal charges alleging that it distributed prescription drugs and other controlled substances to people that the company knew had no prescriptions on behalf of illegal Internet pharmacies.

"We want to be clear what's at stake here: The government is suggesting that FedEx assume criminal responsibility for the legality of the contents of the millions of packages that we pick up and deliver every day,” said Patrick Fitzgerald, a senior FedEx official. “We are a transportation company -- we are not law enforcement. We have no interest in violating the privacy of our customers. We continue to stand ready and willing to support and assist law enforcement. We cannot, however, do the job of law enforcement ourselves."

The stopping of the internet pharmacy business and being able to get your drugs from outside the country.

Example:

I can get Lantus Insulin from Turkey for $156.00 for a box of 5 pens.

To purchase it here in the United States it runs well over $250.00 to even over $300.00.

This move was done by the government at big pharmacy’s request.

Terrible! And it’s only going to get worse.

We are not being treated as customers, but as subjects.

FedEx is a successful company with loads of dough. It’s time to squeeze FedEx for that dough. Also, FedEx is non-union and the Democrat Party has to pay off on its debts to the Unions. If FedEx announced, it was going to unionize, this prosecution would disappear in a minute.

Obviously the desired outcome of this is the Obamunists want to force Fedex and other private carriers to give them the right to inspect all packages.

I’ve been calling my 3 fed congress critters every time ES and USPS shove those expensive meds in my mail box un Photo ID signed for. The drugs can’t be screwed up as they are name brand, and the patent hasn’t run out yet, only reason ES is filling them.

Most of our meds are gotten at the base, a big come down you are now a number, long wait time, reorders are out of Pensacola 5 day procedure, WHY when you have the med on hand to fill the original can’t you do the refill?

We had personal service, were treated as family at a family owned and run pharmacy for 30 yrs before this DOD MANDATE.

And the first time they screw up my DAW Synthroid with a generic version, I will be chewing butt as high as I can. I photo copied my script. I am allergic to the generic. It’s on my allergy list to boot. At the Base I can examine my meds before accepting them. My synthroid dose is lt grey, generic is brown. And it is a critical drug for me. Much more so than any of the others.

I don’t see how ES gets away with over riding a Doctors order of DAW.
