I dissagree with that statement, but not the conclusion.
Marxism is public control of the means of production. When we apply the term to everything we don't like, the term loses it's definition.
Being a spender of government funds does not define a marxist. By that definition George Washington was the biggest spender in history during his time.
Same thing with taxes, debt, or regulations. That statement would apply to George Washington just as well as Obama.
Government takeover of industries and his stated desire to redistribute wealth is what defines Obama as a Marxist.
