Not really. MH17 was hit by a missile and brokeup mid air and at altitude. Think of the debris field across Texas and the SW from when Columbia was lost.
Flight 93 impacted intact and in a steep (near vertical, I think) dive. So a smoking hole with a limited debris field.

I don’t know much about flight 93, never really researched it but I will say that the amount of wreckage being scattered depends on the angle that the plane was in relation to the surface. If they were fighting for the controls and were flying at 350 knots and suddenly descended nose first the speed would increase then when the plane hit it would accordion, fold up into itself. An airplane is a hollow tube if it hit belly first you would expect to find wreckage scattered a pretty good distance. It all depends on the angle that it struck the ground and the speed and I would guess how much fuel was aboard and how hot the fire was.
I fly the things I don’t crash em so really your guess is as good as mine. I have heard there was a big hole and little else, I doubt that is true, will say with a full fuel load on a passenger airplane it would burn hot and since all materials used in construction are light alloys, plastics, and maybe carbon fiber composites were used also, and also there probably would have been some cargo of who knows what, they will burn. Maybe the folks were used to seeing the aftermath on tv of a pilot who was trying not to crash but doing his best to land right side up, then the wreckage would be scattered. In this case the crazy Muzzie seeing the passengers might take control took her in nose first to kill everyone. There is so much BS about 9/11, I have looked at some but have never really gotten that interested. I am still trying to figure who killed Lincoln.
