Primates: All non-human primates prohibited

I could have so much fun with that

but I’m concerned that all camelidea species are being classed as “dangerous animals.” $100 a head for each alpaca or llama is half the value of the animal, is it annual? And to cage a pushme-pullyou? criminal!

I believe that alpacas and llamas are exempted as livestock.

Yes the $100 permit fee is annual. Permits are not shall-issue based on any standard defined in the law; the DWA Board has discretion on who can be issued a permit. Also, permits are only issued for grandfathered animals, that is, the ones that were owned once the legislature adopts the list. You can't purchase or breed new DWA's and apply for permits for them.

The insurance mandated by the law is a killer also. One woman was quoted a $705 annual premium to cover her two sugar gliders.
