Isn’t that kind of severe for Girkin/Strlkov to attempt in reprisal for not getting Putin’s armed support any earlier?
I don’t think so...they got some heavy duty Grads and other military equipment within these past few weeks and days....and likely those who can operate them I suspect. So they aren’t out to get Putin.
Besides Ukraine is a war zone and the fighting there is always going to be nasty business from all...that’s how they fight in those regions....and always have. Same with their politics...always corrupt and always will be.
