A prominent law professor and avowed supporter of the Obama White House will tell the House on Wednesday that the president has created one of the biggest constitutional crises in the country’s history and will endorse House Republicans’ effort to sue to rein him in.

Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University, will say President Obama is trampling the founders’ vision for the country in his push to circumvent Congress, and he will demand Republicans and Democrats alike forget their party labels to unify against this White House’s power grab.

“What we are witnessing today is one of the greatest challenges to our constitutional system in the history of this country,” Mr. Turley said in a prepared testimony, saying it began with previous presidents but under Mr. Obama has “reached a constitutional tipping point that threatens a fundamental change in how our country is governed.”

The scorching testimony to the House Committee on Rules kicks off what’s expected to be a several-week push by Republicans that will end in the House approving a lawsuit against Mr. Obama, challenging his unilateral decision to ignore or waive parts of his own signature health care law.

Already, the GOP effort is ensnared in politics.

“House Republicans have resorted to their most wild and desperate stunt yet,” said Rep. Louise McIntosh Slaughter of New York, the ranking Democrat on the Rules Committee, who will help lead opposition to the GOP’s lawsuit push....

When Scotus either throws out the suit, or finds that it is up to congress to deal with political questions, the rats will claim a terrific victory.

It will be used to vindicate their lie that all opposition to Him is racist.

“Why are people saying that what Obama does against the Constitution automatically becomes legal once he does it?”

I think one answer to your question is: precedence. Not that it makes future Infringements legal, but they’re more likely to happen again and again, and with greater but incremental impact.

So, like everything else, we must deal with the abuse of power some day. Get it over with now, while it still might be possible for an opposition party to win an election.

That’s the point, isn’t it?

Exactly - can't have that pesky document of negative rights that restricts the government hanging around. It's to dang.........restrictive dammit.

Odumbo is a threat to this entire nation, not just our Constitution, which to him is only “old toilet paper”.

http://jonathanturley.org/2014/07/16/turley-to-testify-in-house-hearing-on-authorization-of-congressional-lawsuit/

This morning I will be testifying as the lead witness before the House Rules Committee on the authorization of litigation by the House of Representatives to challenge the unilateral actions of President Obama. The authorization makes it clear that the House will focus on the ACA changes. The hearing will begin at 10 am in H-313 in The Capitol building. It will be aired live on C-Span 3.

A democrat supporter of the White House (read supporter of Obama and President Jarrett) agrees with Crybaby Boehner that Obama should be sued for his many breaches of Constitutional directives.

Of course he does.
He is working for the opposition.

Obama and his henchmen know that a lawsuit will give him time to do all the damage he has lined up as it will still be being fought in the courts when he leaves office, and then dismissed.

Obama has committed MANY UN-Constitutional crimes and is MORE than eligible to be IMPEACHED!

The cowardly house members will diddle around and not do what we ELECTED them to do.

Namely see that the government is run by the Constitution and if not impeachment proceedings should be started.

NOW!
