County GOP head disputes McDaniel on illegal votes (GOP in Trouble)

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Hinds County Republican Party chairman Pete Perry said Tuesday that 300 to 350 possible illegally cast votes were found in Mississippi's largest county in the Senate runoff between incumbent Thad Cochran and challenger Chris McDaniel.

That total is significantly lower than McDaniel's assertion that at least 1,500 improper votes were found in Hinds County.

>> Mc Daniel needs to give it up. The Barbour machine will make him political history.

David needs to give up and go back to tending sheep. That Mr. Goliath is just so damn big!

Naw, I have a better idea. May Haley Barbour, his senile pawn Thad Cochran, Pete Perry, and all of the other crooked scum in the MS GOP-E get caught, and die, in the snares of fraud they are laying out to trap others.

And may all the GOP-E’s self-serving supporters either repent and change their ways, or face disastrous consequences for the evil they are perpetrating on this great nation.

Well the GOP has had plenty of time alter all the records and clean up the evidence of vote fraud. Just like the democrats do.

If the Democrats were smart (I guess that asks for the impossible, but they are ruthless and corrupt), they would push for a new runoff and turn out in droves to vote illegally for Cochran, causing a whole new round of challenges, turmoil, and division. Would almost guarantee the Democrat a win in the general election.

For the record, One(1) illegal vote cast in any type of American election is an outrage.

This GOP stooge should not be feeling good that they found fewer illegal votes than McDaniel. He should be ashamed that there were any. He should resign and refrain from any kind of public role in life going forward...

Just last week he said there were only a very few. Now he says 300 or 350. I see this liar getting nervous.

Hmm...Since Hinds County Election Officials refuse to allow the election books to be examined, whence comes the “County GOP head’s” knowledge that only 300 to 350 voted illegally?

Did these figures come from the Election Officials?
Made up out of thin air?
His crowd had “private” access to the records that was denied to McDaniel, rendering them open to alteration?

Disinfectant needed.

The best you’re going to get is a new election, IMO.

The "best" would be a call for a new election, and then Cochran concedes to McDaniel. Remember, McDaniel won the primary, so if Cochran declines to run as the 2nd place finisher, the 3rd place finisher who got 2% of the vote will not step up and demand to participate.

At that point, McDaniel wins the nomination.

Otherwise, I can see McDaniel demand a debate with Cochran to discuss exactly what happened to the residents of Mississippi. I can see McDaniel demand that Cochran explain why he said what he did about a sitting state Senator.

Given that Cochran doesn't even remember where he eats lunch every week, this is not likely to happen.

From Wikipedia: Mississippi Senate

McDaniel is a Republican politician who has served as a member of the Mississippi Senate since 2008. He is Vice-Chairman of Oil, Gas and Other Minerals Committee and a member of numerous other committees, including Education; Elections; Appropriations; Judiciary, Division A; Public Health and Welfare; Wildlife; Fisheries and Parks.

In 2012, during his second term, he served as a member of Elections (Chair); Judiciary, Division B (Vice-Chair); Appropriations; Compilation; Revision and Publication; Congressional Redistricting (Vice-Chair);Constitution;Drug Policy; Energy; Legislative Reapportionment; Municipalities; and Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. He was also Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee for the Department of Mental Health, Chairman on the Appropriations Subcommittee for the Department of Rehabilitation Services, and Chairman on the Appropriations Subcommittee for the Department of Human Services.

With a list of state committee assignments like his, he's not some whacko who deserved the treatment that he got from the state GOP. The following from Wikipedia might offer a clue.

As a first-term senator in 2010, Chris led the fight to protect private property rights when he took on then-Gov. Haley Barbour, a fellow Republican, and urged his fellow state senators to override Gov. Barbour’s veto of eminent domain legislation that would prevent government from taking private land for use by private companies. The override effort failed by two votes, but began a grassroots ballot initiative to amend the Mississippi Constitution. The ballot initiative passed the following year.

During the 2011 legislative redistricting battle, McDaniel played a key role in defeating the House redistricting plan, moving to table the plan designed by the House. He was then appointed a conferee along with Elections Chairman Terry Burton and Senate President Pro Tem Billy Hewes. The House plan was not adopted.

So it's clear that McDaniel was on Haley Barbour's enemies list.

Leave it to the Republicans who stand to win countless races just because they are not democrats , to fall apart just short of the finish line

He does not need to give up anything. He is using a page from the democrat playbook. Never , ever, ever, ever give up. This man is the future of the conservative movement.

McDaniel needs to NEVER EVER give up. The GOP has already done their worst to him and will never take him back, nothing to lose.

Like in Hunger Games when Katniss shoots the apple and Effie says “I don’t think we’re gonna find this funny if the gamemakers decide to take it out . .”

Haymitch interrupts, “On who? On her? On him? I think they already have.”

So it is with McDaniel, they already have.

Why would anyone pay any attention to what that DUI drunk, Pete Perry has to say? He got picked up driving under the influence after his first speech when he claimed there were just clerical errors on the election documents, I knew they must have come strong arming him something fierce. They probably forced him to bury the hard evidence in his backyard.

He started drinking early on so either he’s got something really big under his hat or he’s going to pop like a cork.

I’ll tell you right now; if I lived in MS and Chris is nowhere on the ballot in November, I’d vote for the Pro-Life, Pro-2nd Amendment Democrat; Childers. To hell with the GOP.

I am not certain the GOP-e has yet realized that this treachery will bleed votes come November
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hey, the Democrats are ecstatic about this Senate Election. They think they will be able defeat Thad in November when all the Conservative base stays home or votes for Childers with all the Democrats.
