I don’t know if this is still the case, my house has a main phone box on the outside of my house in the back. You can plug a phone in there and make a call.
I heard that someone called the white house from a neighbor’s home and made threats against the President. The homeowner was investigated and put on the do not fly list. Could be an urban legend.
Good point. I had forgotten about that outside access box. Couldn’t happen without someone deliberately doing it but still possible.
