It is not at all about race. It is about the family. I’ve heard Wayne Perryman talk at length about the dysfunctional black family and the seduction of the drug industry that takes the place of the father and kills young kids.
Not to mention the attraction to gangs as pseudo families due to a desire to part of “family” knowing that somebody has your back. Good or bad.
