For the past couple of weeks, Karen Lewis has been saying she is seriously considering running for mayor. It turns out voters are taking the fiery Chicago Teachers Union presidents potential candidacy seriously as well. And Mayor Rahm Emanuel probably should, too. At least thats what a surprising new Early & Often Poll suggests. If the mayoral election were held today, the lightning rod union leader who was the architect behind a 2012 teachers strike would beat Emanuel by 9 percentage points in a head-to-head contest, the survey found.

hmmmm....
Which leftist is worse?
Oh. Most definitely Lewis. She makes Rahm look like Reagan.
HER!
I doubt she has done any running for years......
That blob makes Rachel Jeantel look like a Victoria’s Secret model.
Frying pan? Fire? Be careful what you ask for?
That Obese cow? You are kidding.
Be afraid, be very afraid...
"Run"? She couldn't run 5 yards without keeling over.
Piggley Wiggly for Mayor of Shitcago.
Looks like the fox is going to get in the hen house. Detroit example, here we come.
Trotsky is gaining on Lenin!!!!!
“Rahm is awful but Chicago would be on the Detroit path is Lewis is mayor. “
And if you read the article, it says that Toni Preckwinkle (the Black Chairwoman of the Cook County Commission) is even more “formidable.” Pass the popcorn, Chicago is done no matter which one of these cretins is mayor.
It has been literally decades since Chicago has had a choice OTHER than “frying pan” or “fire”.
Not that the Machine would ever allow other than those two alternatives.
Even within the most liberal of venues, there is a sort of “politics”, in which the more radical is set against the old radical, and there is a stalemate, a sort of gridlock that sets in, and no improvement is ever forthcoming.
Neither Karen Lewis nor Toni Preckwinkle are good choices for Chicagoans in next years mayoral race, but it is a measure of how hated Rahm Emanuel is that anyone is considered to be an improvement over this arrogant and abrasive egomaniac. Emanuel spent millions in 2011 and received the fewest popular votes of any winning mayoral candidate since 1919. He is banking on big money to pull him through again in 2015. He is roundly disliked and spends more time on the road or promoting Obama’ agenda than he does governing Chicago. Chicago’s epic crime wave is attributable, in part, to Emanuel’s steadfast refusal to hire police officers. The police department is about 1,200 officers below its former strength.
I heard she’ll be travelling the city on a “listening tour” in a wheelbarrow.
